Equipment level is an attribute of augmented items. Once an item has been augmented, it will gain experience and advance levels when it is used in combat or skilling. Levelling an item increases the experience and materials received when disassembling it. The maximum item level achievable is dependent on research. Every creature has separate combat experience independent of training. Entire wolf pack takes up one population spot. Vampire lord is stronger.
Couldn't find a non-archived reddit post that was just for general feedback. I wanted to report some bugs from my first playthrough, and give some general and specific feedback on my experience.KeeperRL is a good game. It is the dungeon sim I've been looking for since Dungeon Keeper 1 came out. Thanks for all the feedback, I still haven't gone through all of it, but there are definitely some nice points for me to implement/fix.Pathing crashes. In one of my games it consistently happened in a specific area around a large shaman dwelling when I would try to break down a door on an inner room of the building. Eventually overcame it without crashing.I've been trying to pin down this bug for a while. I've tried breaking into the shaman building a few times, but didn't get it to crash.

Please let me know if you have any more insight into why/when it's crashing, or best of all if you have a save file that you can crash consistently. (I assume that you don't have the one for the above game anymore, because you eventually got around it).

Graphics have received a lof of polish, there are now basic animations. The game is optimized better and has fewer bugs.
17 December, 2014 -Michal BrzozowskiKeeperRL alpha12 is out. This release took longer than planned, but I think it's well justified. Besides a few bigger gameplay changes, I fixed a big number of issues and added many small improvements.
The game is now a lot closer to being a mature product. There are also graphical changes, the first fruits of my collaboration with Artur. KeeperRL is an ambitious dungeon simulator with roguelike and RPG elements. Take the role of an evil wizard and study the methods of black magic. Equip your minions and explore the world, murder innocent villagers and burn their homes.
